Belong

Emmanuel Baptist Church is a place to belong. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Bible Life Circles
Often, smaller groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Emmanuel Baptist Church has several groups to choose from. The size of the group is anywhere from five to fifteen. These groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 while our children are in Sunday School, or during the week on different days and in different places.  To receive more information on our circles please follow this link – BIBLE LIFE CIRCLES

Adult Bible Life Circles are the form that Emmanuel’s Small Bible Study Groups have taken. They revolve around six week studies, but can be joined at any time.  Each circle consists of a leader and two to fifteen others. It is our hope that in these smaller settings that each member and attender of Emmanuel will have the opportunity to learn of Jesus and walk with him in a more meaningful way and to invest in others. Hit the graphic below to find out more information on all of our Circle opportunities, from children to adults!

What are Bible Life Circles? Bible Life Circles are small groups of adults (between 5-15) coming together weekly at Emmanuel.

Why Bible Life Circles? The mission of Emmanuel is to raise up a church that is “as He is in this world”. This ministry is our mission put into action. We are having small groups because they will provide a place to build relationships that will foster care for one another and will also challenge one another.

When do Bible Circles meet?  They meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am or evenings during the 6:00 pm and at other times during the week for discipleship, fellowship, prayer, and the study of the Bible.

How long will the Circle meet for? Generally for an hour per session and we will be having six week studies at a time. At the end of the study, each member may evaluate their place and either stay with their circle or move onto another one.

When may I join a Circle? If you haven’t already registered for a Circle, you may jump in at anytime. You will receive the previous student guides to catch you up.

How do I join a Circle? You may register above with the circles still available, or sign up in the lobby after any service.

What about my Children? During the Sunday morning 9:30 hour there is childcare available for 0-4yr olds and circles for kindergarten through teens. During the Sunday evening 6:00 hour, there is childcare available for 0-4 years old.

What if I am uncomfortable with a small group? We will still be having a lecture style Sunday morning 9:30 class open to all.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
 Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

SHAPE stands for Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experience. This tool begins with a Spiritual gift analysis and continues on to discover where your passions are (Heart), then to your Abilities, Personality and finally Experiences. This online SHAPE assessment is one way to learn more about the place that God has created for you in His amazing story!

Please keep in mind that this is a tool and not a test. It should be used and then discussed with one of our church leaders to help YOU discern where you are gifted, and where you might best Bless Others. Please answer each question thoughtfully.  The questionnaire is pre-filled with “3” as an answer and as such we ask that you do not skip any answers, but but thoughtfully answer each one.

Please note that the results will be seen by one of our church’s leaders to aid in developing your gifts within the church. Enjoy this step to growing in spiritual maturity!

You will find an excellent book that details this philosophy of ministry at this LINK.

ebc kids 2013

Welcome to EBC Kids! One of the great movements of the heart of Emmanuel is our love for Children.  In the photo to your left you see just one of the expressions of our love, a state of the art playground that we recently built for the kids of our church and community!  The undeniable fact of the Biblical account of Jesus is that HE loves children. Well, because HE loves children and His Spirit is in His church, we love them too!  In addition to having a playground, we are children friendly; during our services it’s not unusual to children approaching our pastor and being invited on the platform to pray with him to open the message. You may also see them collecting a special offering, or helping to lead a new worship song. We also know that children need to be discipled to Jesus in a meaningful way. For that reason we have these awesome ministries just for them.

AWANA Clubs!

AWANA is a dynamic kid’s club for Kindergarten through the sixth grade. This would include the Cubbies club for 4-5 year olds, the SPARKS club for  1-2 grades and the TNT club for 3-6 grades.

Our club will run September through the end of May on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:15pm.  You may enroll your children at any time by just coming to club on club night.

This ministry is so comprehensive that to attempt to define and explain it here would nearly impossible.  In a nutshell there will be games, uniforms, awards, handbooks and teaching  the practical things of the Bible at a kids level.

Please follow this link for more detailed information. http://awana.org/welcometoawana/welcome-to-awana,default,pg.html

Sunday School

On Sunday mornings at 9:30 there are classes for kids from preschool through high school.  We have adopted an incredible curriculum called Bible Studies for Life which is designed to help us apply Biblical truths to our everyday lives and the lives of our children.

You can find more information about Bible Studies for life by clicking this link… http://www.lifeway.com/n/Product-Family/bible-studies-for-life/kids

Kids worship logo black
Every Sunday morning at 10:30 am our amazing staff leads children from 1st -5th grades in their very own time of worship and teaching at their level of understanding. It’s a high energy time that allows a kid to be a kid and still worship Jesus and learn of him.
