I began attending Emmanuel in September of 1986. Just over a year later I accepted Jesus as my personal savior during a revival week with Brother Tommy Stone. You see for the year before my salvation, I was involved in ministry at Emmanuel but I was a lost sinner.I had what I call a hope so heart. When faced with the reality of eternity I hoped that I would go to heaven but didn’t know that for sure.October 7th of 1987 I put the doubt aside by the grace of God, faced my sin and trusted Jesus to be my savior.Following my salvation and baptism I began to serve Jesus for real in many ministries.Three that stand out are the nursing home ministry, the music ministry and the ministry to the youth of our church. In 1998 I answered the call of God on my life to preach and began working full-time at Emmanuel the following year.
In March of 2002, I was ordained by Emmanuel Baptist Church as a Gospel minister. In February of 2004, I was sent out of Emmanuel to start Lighthouse Baptist Church in the Concord area of NH.
In the second year of that church plant the Lord moved in miraculous ways to merge Lighthouse and Landmark Baptist Church into the New Landmark Baptist Church of Loudon NH. Within the following year the Lord Jesus worked and souls were saved and baptized.A new church building was completed by the end of the first year of the merger. Following that completion God showed me that my work at Landmark was done and it was time to return to Emmanuel.
In July of 2008 the Lord moved the church to vote me in as the pastor-elect of the church with over 90% of the vote.I say this to demonstrate the wonder of God and the unity of our church. In June of 2009 I assumed the pastorate of this great church.Together we are looking forward to what God has in store for this ministry.
I hope that you will consider yourself at this moment.Do you have a know so heart, or are you stuck in the heartache of a hope so heart?Jesus’ death on the cross was enough to take all of your sins away.He was punished enough for you and me and all that will believe and trust in him.Above all else, please consider this, that Jesus, God in the flesh, loves you and wants to save you.For that to happen, you must turn to God, without excuse for your sin.You must accept full responsibility for yourself and trust the mercy that is in Jesus because of his sacrifice.Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion proving that God the father was satisfied with Jesus’ punishment for our sins.Call upon Him and He will save you. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.”
Our Associate Pastor Rick Morin
Bro. Rick Morin is our assistant pastor and is responsible for all of our youth ministries. Bro. Rick has been at Emmanuel almost from the start. Rick has been in full-time ministry since 1994. His heart for the youth of the church has been a constant reminder of the goodness and love of God. He has served in our church as the youth director and Sunday School director and has been responsible for the start up of our Master's club ministry and day camp for children in the 1st through 6th grades. In addition to the children's ministry of our church Bro. Rick is also the
maintenance and construction supervisor for our entire property. Bro. Rick has been instrumental in the expansion of all of our facilities.
Pastor Emeritus Ron Clow
Pastor Ron Clow has served the Lord at Emmanuel for the last 15 years as our our pastor and for 15 years prior to that as the Associate and in other various capacities. He spent about 11 months away in the 1980's as the Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church of Nottingham NH where the Lord blessed in an incredible way with many saved and baptized and a struggling church finding once again it's foundation in the Word of God. Under Pastor Clow's watch, Emmanuel has nearly doubled in size and has seen many, many won to the Lord. We have completed our new 600 seat sanctuary and look forward to what the Lord has in store. A special blessing to both Pastor and church has been the Lord's calling of 7 men to preach the gospel of Christ during his ministry. One, his son, Paul is now pastoring Landmark Baptist Church in Loudon NH, another is Eric Davis our current pastor.
Pastor Clow retired on June 21st of 2009. His heart for Jesus and the lost and for those men that have stepped into the pastorate remains strong. His desire is to help churches and the men that pastor them.
