Here are some descriptions of a few of the opportunities that are available.
 
Cleaning Ministry
The cleaning ministry takes care of the cleaning and maintenance of the building. We believe that it is important to take care of the things that God has given us.

Leader: Cindy Davis

Some responsibilities include:

          Vacuuming

          Cleaning restrooms

          Dusting

          Windows 

Who would be a good fit for this ministry?

Someone who finds joy in behind the scenes details and does not want to be in the spotlight would be perfect for this ministry. The cleaning ministry blesses those who have a servant’s heart and enjoy a job well done.

 

Welcome Ministry
The welcome ministry is one that must grow as we as a church continue to get larger. We believe it is important to feel welcomed and at ease when you first arrive at the church, no matter how many times you have visited!

Leader: Peter Clow

          Some responsibilities include:

          Welcoming all that come into our building

          Directing guests to classes, nurseries, seats, etc.

          Handing out welcome booklets and connection cards

          Staffing the Welcome Table and keeping it supplied with booklets and cards

          Keeping the lobby, back vestibule, and foyer neat and orderly

Who would be a good fit for this ministry?

Someone who is outgoing and has a ready smile would be a perfect fit for the welcome ministry, although anyone who wishes to be helpful and who wants guests to have a good experience should definitely consider serving.

 
Outreach Ministry
 
Our outreach consists of many avenues to share the love of God in Christ to our community and beyond. Some of the areas are highlighted below. You may ask for any one of these people at any service and they will be pointed out to you.

Who would be a good fit for these ministries?

Our outreach opportunities vary widely, as you can see. There are opportunities for people who enjoy writing, proofreading, graphic design, one on one interaction (Old Home Day) other creatives (Christmas Program and Float), digital or computer work, etc… the opportunities are nearly limitless.

Kids Ministry
The kids ministry seeks to reach out to a group that Christ himself made it a point to include. This ministry seeks to grow young-in-age Christians spiritually while providing them with an exciting church environment at their own age level.

           Responsibilities vary within each branch of the ministry:

           AWANA

          Leaders

o   Guide children through handbooks

o   Disciple children to Christ

o   Communicate with parents

o   Visit children when needed

          Listeners

o   Help leader

o   Listen to children recite their sections

Sunday School

          Teachers

o   Go through provided curriculum

o   Disciple children to Christ

          Helpers

o   Assist teacher

o   Maintain order in class

Kids Worship Too!

          Teachers

o   Teach an age appropriate message

          Craft leaders

o   Provide a craft and help children put the craft together

          Song leaders

o   Lead worship

Nursery

          Provide a safe haven for children while their parents enjoy the service

          Caring for children from newborn to K-4

Who would be a good fit for this ministry?

Anyone who wants to serve the Lord by connecting with kids or helping them draw closer to Christ should consider serving with the kids ministry. Because this ministry involves a broad spectrum of ages, many different personalities and strengths can be incredibly helpful in this service.

 

Worship Ministry
The worship ministry is a multi-faceted ministry that involves a variety of worship including song, prayer, testimonies, and giving. The worship ministry is an emerging core value of EBC, and we seek to provide and ensure a distraction-free and passion-filled worship experience.

            Responsibilities and roles vary within each branch of the ministry

         Worship Team

          Lead congregation in worship on Sunday mornings

Instrumentalists

          Play instrument for worship during services

Media Team

          Manage the video and audio of all services and special occasions

          Maintain all video and audio equipment

Who would be a good fit for this ministry?

Those who have basic skills in whichever area they are interested in serving (ie: vocal, instrumental) are welcome to join this ministry. Humility is also an important attribute to have in any visible ministry, as we want to continually point towards Jesus and not to ourselves. The Media team is a great place for those with technological interests to use their skills.

 

Grounds-Keeping Ministry
This ministry keeps our property in pristine condition. It is important to maintain a nice-looking property and a safe place to worship during the winter months.

          Landscaping

o   Lawncare

o   Outdoor work

o   Mowing

o   Weeding

o   Flower bed maintenance

o   Tree-trimming

          Snow removal

o   Plowing

o   Shoveling

o   Sanding/salting

Who would be a good fit for this ministry?

This ministry would be great for someone who enjoys the outdoors and who does not mind being out of the spotlight.
